Sergeant Joe Friday and his partner Frank Smith find themselves in the middle of a Christmas cradle robbing caper in 1953 Los Angeles, when it's discovered that a treasured statue of the baby Jesus has been stolen from a churches nativity scene just hours before the parish celebrates the revered holiday.
